Grant Furlane | Chairman
Mr. Furlane brings 30 years of technology experience specializing in the Transportation, Network Security, and Parking industries. He has been involved in over 500 million dollars in Technology investments and was contracted to lead the initiatives of several large public IT companies. He aggressively built three transportation technology companies that established the vanguard for tracking and monitoring vehicle movement. His companies developed and sold integrated control systems for major airports, hospitals and parking lot management companies.
A former President of the Canadian Parking Association, Mr. Furlane served as Co-Chairman of the first World Symposium on Intelligent Transportation Systems, an international symposium attended by delegates representing 50 countries. As a result of his successful business experience, his companies’ technological innovation, and his international scope, Mr. Furlane is considered to be one of the leaders in this industry. Mr Furlane served as Chairman to the Neurological Hospitals Centers for Ability, and the Board of Governors of Ontario Junior A Hockey, and has investments in the Entertainment and Sports industries.
Mr. Leuschner brings 27 years of executive experience in the media field. As a senior leader at corporations including Torstar, Canwest and Glacier Media, Rob spearheaded numerous ground breaking initiatives; including new product innovation, acquisition, integration and digital revenue expansion. At Canwest Rob was responsible for operations in 35 markets across BC and Ontario with more than $100 million in annual revenue and more than 1,000 employees across the group. At Torstar Rob acted as the General Manager of Canada’s two largest community newspapers; The Mississauga News and Brampton Guardian. His leadership success in more than 45 communities across Canada has earned Rob the reputation of a strong leader and innovator in community media in Canada.
Mr. Leuschner currently invests in and provides consulting services to multiple media and technology entities. A proven sales and a marketing leader; Rob provides clients with expertise in the development of sales, pricing and product development strategies.
Mr. Leuschner has provided his time and energy to numerous community initiatives, including the development and construction of cycling facilities in Mississauga and significant support of the Mississauga Children’s Christmas Fund and the Oakville YMCA.
In a career that spans almost 30 years, the majority of which has been within the international business community, Ian has held senior positions in a number of fortune 500 companies where he has held regional and global responsibilities for operations and client delivery.
A recognized professional in process design and management, productivity and efficiency solutions, Ian has been involved and has led many major structural and technology changes over the years. Inherent in the roles he has held has been a strong focus on corporate governance including risk mitigation, regulatory compliance and cost control.
Ian has also held senior positions in business development in both Financial Services and Technology having spent some time as a principle consultant for a global technology company specializing in BPM solutions. Over the years he has been interviewed in National and industry publications on several occasions for his views on the Financial Services industry.
Ian was Head of the Derivative Operations across Europe and parts of Asia for Citigroup as part of the Corporate and Investment Banking division whose net revenue exceeded $5 billion USD. His responsibilities included the support of the firm’s European derivative business including the day to day control, processing and settlement activities for thousands of complex transactions involving the movement and settlement of $billions across hundreds of geographic locations and in multiple time zones.
Ian designed and implemented capabilities to support this scale of business while reducing support costs by in excess of $10 million USD per annum during his appointment. These capabilities included process re-engineering and design, Human capital development and technology design. He then moved into a role as European Head of Business development for the Listed Derivative business helping to build out the existing client base by exploring new markets and introducing clients to support technology and services previously not marketed resulting in several $million’s in additional annual revenue.
At JP Morgan, whose net annual revenues exceeded $21 billion (2012), Ian was responsible for the scheduling, coordination and control of process and functional migrations for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region into globally centralized internal utilities. This role was pivotal in the coordination and functionalization of thousands of end to end processes as they were moved from one site to another with average daily transactional volumes in excess of 1.25 million across all asset classes.
ATB is an Albertan Government Financial Institution that provides financial services to the Provence of Alberta. With a strong contingent towards Energy and Agricultural, ATB have assets in excess of $33 Billion as per the 2013 annual report. Ian is currently responsible for the control and governance of the Corporate Financial Services Group that provides commercial loans and holds assets in excess of $8 billion. He also contributes to the strategic structuring of the group to meet ever changing economic and business requirements.
Mr. Moore is an accomplished Solutions Sales Executive with over 25 years of experience in the Financial Payments Industry. He has worked to provide technology solutions to most Canadian Financial Institutions, transaction switches and processors, as well as most of the major U.S. payment processors and transaction acquirers. With firsthand experience in the implementation of a vast number of new and innovative payment solutions or technologies, Don brings a focused global approach to solving his customers business challenges. Mr. Moore has sold over 100 million dollars of Payment Software/Hardware solutions to the top players in the North American payments industry including; American Express, BMO, Bank of Nova Scotia. Chase Paymentech, CIBC, Elavon, First Data, TD Bank and more.
